Case Study

Top of the Annex Townhomes

The Top of the Annex Townhomes are a prototype for a sustainable infill development. The three townhomes replace a surface parking lot and will incorporate energy-efficient features such as high levels of insulation, ground source heat pumps powered by electricity generated through photovoltaic cells covering the roof of each unit, and solar hot water panels. The homes are designed to produce as much energy annually as they consume and, connected to the electric grid, draw power only as needed.
